About Brian Clift

I began my career in Public Accounting working in both the audit and tax departments for Grant Thornton. I worked on a number of engagements for a wide range of industries that the firm served during my time at GT. I eventually concentrated on the construction, real estate and non-for-profit industries in the audit department. I worked my way up from an entry level position with the firm to Senior Auditor where I led audits and managed staff to ensure that our work was completed on time and within budget. I moved to Georgia and began working for the Card Services division of GE Capital. I was an Accounting Specialist primarily in charge of the Allowance for Uncollectible Accounts for Card Services. This was great experience as I was able to learn how accounting operations were conducted in the private sector. I moved into the Wireless Telecommunications industry next by working as a Financial Analyst for Cingular Wireless (now AT & T Wireless). I was responsible for Corporate Billing for a number of high-profile accounts. My next position was with Oracle USA, Inc. I worked as a Principal Licensing Consultant with Oracle's License Management Services Group (LMS). I worked with Oracle's customers to educate them on Oracle's Licensing Policies and advised them on how to maximize their software investment from a licensing standpoint. The LMS Group conducts license reviews (audits) of Oracle customers to ensure contractual compliance with their license agreements. I've been able to build on the skill set that I received from my Public Accounting days by working with Oracle. Organization, communication and attention to detail are just some of the areas that I've been able to build on. I briefly worked as a Manager with KPMG's Contract Compliance Services Group, but decided to return to Oracle as Principal Licensing Consultant in the License Management Services Group. I joined the Partner Strategic Education Services team within Oracle's Global Licensing and Advisory Services in 2020 to focus support to Oracle Partners. I rejoined the License Management Services Group in June 2022 to focus on delivering LMS services primarily for the Oracle Java SE product, but also for Oracle Database, Middleware and Application products. I joined the Digital Transformation Consulting (DTC) group as a Client Director in August 2023 where I focus on delivering DTC services to Oracle customers. I am currently working within the Oracle Global License Advisory Services (GLAS) group. Specialties- Oracle Software Licensing
