About Brian Collins
I worked in the civil service for many years at the provincial, territorial and federal levels both in the Northwest Territories and in my home province of Newfoundland and Labrador. My work focussed on health and environmental fields during this time. I also worked as a broadcaster with CBC North in Yellowknife as the host of the weekend morning show, Northern Air from 2003 to 2009. After establishing Landwash Studios in Yellowknife I moved to Prince Edward Island in 2018. My need for creative expression has manifested itself in several areas; most notably in theatre and photography. In 2015 I decided to make photography my career focus and left the civil service to pursue it full time. I attended the Prairieview School of Photography in 2015/2016 and graduated with a Diploma in Professional Photography. I founded Landwash Studios and plan to- grow and develop my photography business- offer quality photography services to clients in Prince Edward Island, and - offer fine art photography to online clients.
