I was a BDO tax partner, covering the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Since retiring from my full time role, I am pleased to say I have retained my ties with BDO in the UAE and now work as consultant partner, on a part time basis. I originally trained with HM Customs and Excise (now HMRC) before moving into practice with Grant Thornton. After that I had spells with HLB Kidson, Ernst and Young, KMPG and FTI Consulting. I started in a generalist role with GT and I have always tried to maintain a wide client portfolio. I have dealt with all aspects of VAT advisory including transactions, litigation, restructuring, tax technology and outsourcing solutions for VAT reporting.
