Tasks include Managing the R&D Technician team daily workload across multiple projects, cross – training on procedures and equipment and future capacity planning of workload. Completing work plans and analyzing work content to achieve expected results in terms of quantity and quality. Liaise with different team leaders across multiple functions and sites to align workflows and priorities and handling all team personnel issues. My role and responsibilities also include: Manage and maintain all R&D equipment on site in Cork while liaising with other sites and groups to standardize practices across all sites. Lead the scheduling of all preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of all R&D equipment as well as day to day maintenance of the R&D labs and lab inventory. Having all labs in an audit readiness state and all lab equipment documentation generated, updated and compliant. Research, source and recommend any new complex lab equipment and ensure all existing equipment is up to date with relevant staff members trained on its optimum operation. To qualify all new equipment, tooling and fixtures once installed on site. Coordinate all Equipment Installation across the required cross functional teams both off-site and on-site. To work with the wider R&D team in the design, development, documentation, prototyping, validation of all R&D equipment, tooling and fixtures. In addition to the above responsibilities to lead the scheduling and organizing of all R&D customer engagements, site visits and employee training activities. This involves product demonstrations and managing the product inventory along with the demo model inventory, maintenance, and repair.
