About Brian Cox

I am a software/hardware engineer with over 25 years of experience in developing software for a wide range of hardware platforms, from PCs to embedded systems. I have created unique software and hardware solutions for several industries, including manufacturing, medicine, and broadcast television, and am listed as co-inventor on several patents.Until recently, I was a software engineer for Semprius, Inc, manufacturer of the world's most efficient solar modules. In this role, I was responsible for using software and hardware to solve difficult problems in various aspects of the manufacturing process. Successes included designing a custom semiconductor wafer tester, creating a visible defect inspection system, and prototyping Internet of Things devices using micro solar cells. Previous experience includes advanced computer graphics, IT management, and printed circuit board design with Bright View Technologies and SportsMEDIA Technology Corporation.Past colleagues know me as a “jack of all trades” who can be trusted to come up with creative software and hardware solutions to tough technology problems. I’m a quick learner who works well on a team of many or a team of one.I have a BS in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University, from which I graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society.I'm currently looking for exciting new opportunities to apply my diverse skill set as well as enhance it by learning new technologies.
