About Brian Cox

Hello, My name is Brian Cox. I have been a substitute for seven years, four at a high school level and 3 at an elementary level. I have enjoyed working with the younger children and they seem to like me as well. I have also worked in security for more than twenty years. It is a stable job that got me through all of my education. I am self motivated, will get the job done in a timely matter. I have acted professional in all situations I have been placed in. I am proficient in technology and apps used by my current school district. I have always risen to any task that has been given to me. I am interested in the study of Education as it relates to helping a “Guest Teacher” (substitute) in gaining mastery to help their students when teachers are not able to attend class due to some family emergency or training. I am also interested in getting my credential at some time in the future but at this point the time is not quite right. My future goals is to teach grades levels 3-5. It is my belief that all students can learn in the right environment with the right teacher. Further each student has the right to a safe and secure learning environment free of bullying and harassment. It is also my belief that the family plays a valuable part in the students learning. The teacher guides instruction, which leads to homelife and community learning, with parents making sure their children complete any assignments given.
