About Brian Cram

I'm recognized as a hands-on strategic leader with a history of success driving significant business growth and transformations across a number of industries and business models. I have extensive executive leadership experience in early and late-stage technology companies, as well as large multi-national consumer food and agri-businesses. At my core, I’m a fixer and a builder, a team-focused mentor and “the calm in the storm.” I love diving into challenging and complex situations and motivating a team to “think outside the box” to quickly find great possibilities and solutions they had never considered. Shareholder value is then created by ensuring that the right team is in place and excels at execution. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many founder entrepreneurs. My collaborative approach, empathy for all stakeholders and decisiveness have allowed the businesses under my leadership to thrive within a variety of different ownership structures including; family-owned, employee-owned, private-equity or publicly backed. I‘ve become a trusted advisor and member of several company and industry related boards due to my strong belief that there is not a "one size fits all" solution to any given situation, understanding of board governance issues and creative approach to negotiations and organizational dynamics. A few current and previous board roles include: Sightline Innovation, Dejero Labs, The Guelph Food Technology Centre, Rosina Food Products, Belmont Meat Products, Cold Springs Farm, the Tariff Quota Advisory Committee (Canadian DFAIT) and the Chair of the Canadian Poultry and Egg Processors Council.
