About Brian Cui

Brian Cui is an HIM professional with 20 years of healthcare experience in a variety of roles in health information technology, clinical documentation improvement, adult education, and auditing. 12 of those years were spent in CDI. He graduated from Florida International University in 2003 with a Bachelor's in health information management. He is a Registered Health Information Administrator and Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner. Brian is the founder of Medical Coding Geek, a social media brand for the medical coding community. He is the Facebook Group administrator for Medical Coding Geeks, The RHIT & RHIA Exam Support group, and the Clinical Documentation Improvement Network. He is also the creator and host of Not Elsewhere Classified, a podcast created to share stories and insights from professionals in the medical coding, HIM, and CDI community. With the exposure from the podcast, he became a national speaker, speaking for organizations, including AAPC, ACDIS, and AHIMA.
