Background

About Brian Delaney

I have earned a BASc (Honours) in the Occupational Health and Safety program at Ryerson University and have several years of health and safety work experience. I also have a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation. Since March 2012 I have worked as a health and safety coordinator for ACE Bakery. During that time I have developed standards and procedures, performed risk assessments, safety inspections, and managed four Joint Health and Safety Committees. I have also performed accident investigations and implemented corrective actions. I currently teach (part time) Industrial Hygiene online for Algonquin College Ontario Learn. For the last five years I have presented the Young Worker Awareness Program (sponsored by Workplace Safety Prevention Services) to High school students, prior to entering co-op work placements (volunteer part time). I am very enthusiastic about working within the health and safety field and continue to look for ways to improve my knowledge in that area and to transfer it in ways that enhance health and safety for employees and establish evidence of due diligence for the employer.
