About Brian Design

Character Designer Focusing on 3D + AR Ex: Bandai, Ex: Stussy Kids A versatile creator, he ventured into the kids' toy industry as a product designer, focusing on adorable preschool and baby toys, adored for their charming character design. Simultaneously, Brian pioneered the street culture and fashion scene, crafting captivating original T-shirts, stickers, wheat-paste street art, and trailblazing the American vinyl art figure movement. Notably, he released handmade resin figures under the alias "Bufalo Club" in A milestone year arrived in 2001, as Brian collaborated with DJ DB and Breakbeat Science, introducing the first-ever independent, limited edition (sofubi) vinyl art toys inspired by Technics® turntables, aptly named TECH HEADZ. His creative prowess extended to designing and producing toys for distinguished American artists and brands, including Alife, Faile, and Biz Markie. Embracing new horizons, Brian relocated to Japan in 2005, commencing an illustrious career as a freelance toy designer for Bandai. He continued crafting for Bandai and other North American toy giants, such as Hasbro and Fisher Price, until 2009. In 2009, the artist rebranded as Mr.Brian Design, steering his focus towards the dynamic realm of edutainment. His repertoire expanded to encompass printed goods, like coloring books, textbooks, worksheets, and animation. Notably, between 2009 and 2016, he pursued compelling projects with Knee High Media (Mammoth School), all while creating enthralling original artworks and collaborating with fashion powerhouses like Ships and maintaining a fruitful partnership with Stussy (2014-2019). Not confined by borders, Brian also contributed his expertise to local businesses in Kagoshima, Japan, partnering with the bicycle shop KOGU and Voila Coffee. A true artist, shaping industries with creativity and finesse.
