About Brian Douglas

My name is Brian Douglas. I am a Social Worker, Photographer and Film Maker. Looking forward to connecting! As a therapist, I specialize in grief and trauma. I believe that grief is something to be integrated into your life not something to ‘get over’. As an EMDR trained therapist, my hope is to help you process your experiences of trauma so that you can begin experiencing life without the pain and weight of trauma. I also offer Legacy Work; the creation of an end-of-life, documentary style film in which together we capture and share your knowledge and stories, thoughts, and ideas and the pieces of ourselves that we want to pass along to those we love. In these legacy conversations that we begin to learn things like how we find and make meaning in our lives, when we feel most alive, or what are some of our greatest accomplishments. As a photographer, my goal is to use photography to draw the viewer in; to create an image that captures the client’s vision or creatively depicts architecture, nature and still life in their most raw and honest forms, finding beauty in harsh surroundings and tranquility in the everyday. I currently focus on personal passion projects but also have a strong interest in photographing and documenting workplaces/spaces as well as the people who work there.
