About Brian Douglas
Although I have been working in education for over 30 years, I have also had an interest in wine for most of that time. I have lived in Napa for over 20 years. I have taken local community college classes on wine for enjoyment. Recently, I completed the WSET level 2. I have quite a few friends and close family in the industry and over the years have acquired quite a bit of local knowledge about Napa wines and the industry. I have taken part in a group effort to make two different vintages of wine and was involved in the process from picking to bottling. I have a few more years before retiring from teaching. But, I am looking to work at a winery part time/one weekend day a week. I am hoping this leads to more hours in the summer and after retirement. I am open to working in a tasting room or cellar work.
