I am an experienced LEEA Accredited Trainer, LOLER Competent Person, Lifting Supervisor, Rigbuilder, Rigger, Banksman Slinger, CPLO, Rigging & Lifting Competence Assessor / Trainer with over 25 years’ experience in the on & offshore oil and gas industry. I have extensive experience working worldwide and within West Africa including Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Cote d’ Ivoire and also hold (UK) & West African Passports which entitles me to travel to most of West Africa visa free. I have been a key asset on a number of challenging projects worldwide for various UK/International based offshore construction, oil and gas companies, and bring an invaluable wealth of knowledge with a positive approach to safety to demanding projects and sometimes extreme work environments. Roles include developing detailed digital lift plans, method statements, and task risk assessments working to LOLER & OPITO standards for all lifts, coordinate with all effected departments. My skills include but are not limited to, supervision and coordination all activities with personnel and equipment engaged in erecting and operating machines used to hoist, lift, convey and move any equipment or material, maintain, update and keep all maintenance and certification records on all lifting machinery and equipment, ensuring all operators, rigging crew and contractors are currently qualified to operate and conduct safe rigging practises while maintaining their qualifications and records. Perform physical pre-inspection checks of all lifting machinery and equipment including cranes, gantry cranes, cables, slings, chains, hooks, clevises, shackles, lift rings, chain hoists, cable hoists and pins.
