About Brian Fix

While remaining counsel/ consultant with Dentons, the global law firm into which my prior firm, Salans, combined 5 years ago, I am now working more independently, providing not only legal advice but more often business advice to multinational companies, governments, development finance institutions and universities operating in the U.S, France or Africa (both anglophone and francophone). I also serve on several non-profit Boards within the U.S. and each winter, return to Paris to teach a masters seminar at Sciences Po on structuring and negotiating development projects in Africa. Based in Europe for decades (Paris and London, while opening and initially managing new offices for the Salans firm in Warsaw and Kyiv), with constant travel to Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East), I have lead negotiations for a wide range of cross-border transactions, particularly public-private partnerships, international joint ventures, French acquisitions and restructuring, and foreign investment in emerging markets. I also believe that there is an increasing need for international mediation to bring parties together in win-win situations, and I am accredited by the Center for Effective Dispute Resolution (London).
