Background

About Brian Flores

As an income auditor - staff accountant, my role is crucial in analyzing and recording hotel financial data in order to develop a daily revenue report. Working both with the Front Desk and Food & Beverage team, I analyze hundreds of transactions on a daily basis to uncover discrepancies that can range from incorrect charges, system errors, incorrect transaction codes, potential fraudulent activity, and much more. I keep track of several different sources of income, from our 5 hotel restaurant outlets, to the 618 rooms that can all be occupied at once, as well as our hotel banquet and catering events. Aside from this, there are other tasks that i perform on a daily and weekly basis, from Payroll, to Sales and Occupancy tax reconciliation. Additionally, I post daily journal entries to our general ledger, as well as completing several month end balance sheets. I also perform bank/credit card reconciliation, and I make it my sole duty to meet the strict deadlines imposed by my financial controller.
