About Brian Florez

I’m an Organizational Psychologist with a PhD in Psychology of Human Resources and 8+ years of international experience across academic, clinical, and corporate settings. My work bridges the science of human behavior with the practical needs of organizations—empowering better hiring decisions, stronger team dynamics, and healthier workplace cultures. Currently, I’m a Talent Acquisition Partner at Becton Dickinson, managing full-cycle recruitment across industries and markets while delivering strategic insights to enhance quality-of-hire and optimize recruitment processes. Prior to this, I worked with Rolls-Royce stakeholders at Alexander Mann Solutions, sourcing top-tier talent across Canada, the US, and the UK. Academically, I’ve lectured at the Universidad Europea de Valencia, teaching courses in statistics, research methods, organizational psychology, and sensation and perception in both English and Spanish. I’ve also supported students through master’s thesis supervision and contributed to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. From designing patient experience programs in healthcare, to driving HR engagement strategies in the public sector, to mentoring future professionals, my goal has always been the same: to use psychology as a tool to enhance performance, satisfaction, and meaningful work.
