About Brian Freuler

I received my Master of Arts Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) degree from Northern Arizona University in May 2014. classroom management; planning, preparing, delivering, and reflecting on lessons in classrooms with adult students; 2. creating a rapport and engaging students from a variety of age groups and nationalities and with an array of purposes for studying English and HSE; 3. preparing materials and activities, as well as providing oral feedback to students; 4. designing, writing, and producing materials such as reading guides, graphic organizers, audio/visual resources, and a variety of additional state-of-the-art teaching materials for listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; 5. contextualizing curriculum to relate it to a specific discipline My teaching experience has prepared me to teach a wide range of ages, skill levels, nationalities, and backgrounds. I have had the opportunity to work with Chinese, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, African and Korean students. I also utilize technology such as videos and various websites in my teaching of the various skills. While in my program and teaching at Rio Salado I have been able to build and develop my teaching skills, this experience continues to direct my steps and drive my passion. While I really enjoy teaching adults I want to experience different levels of teaching prior to making my final career decision. I have obtained a K-12 Substitute Certificate to enable me to gain experience at the high school level. I can then make a decision to pursue adult education or return to ASU for my teaching certification. I am organized and creative and work well independently or as part of a team.
