About Brian Garrett

As a recent graduate of Medgar Evers College CUNY and an aspiring attorney, I am glad to have been able to grow in an environment that prepares students for their professional interests. As a student and intern for Congresswoman Yvette Clarke’s Office, the NYC Mayoral Office, Young Men’s Initiative, and Hon. John C.V. Katsanos, I received real-world experience from leaders of government and law. Now, as a Program Coordinator for Legal Assistance of Western New York, a nonprofit law firm, I work toward helping vulnerable populations needing civil legal services. It’s community organizing and support that sparked my legal passion. As a professional, I want to give back resources to communities in need, much like where I come from, and I know that because of my experience, I am ready to endeavor toward my goals.
