About Brian Gaudet

I am an attorney with Kilpatrick, Stockton & Townsend's nationally recognized construction practice. I have received the AV Preeminent rating by Martindale Hubbell and have been named as a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2010-2014. I am a member of Mensa. In my spare time I have spent considerable time assisting with coaching youth baseball teams who are routine championship and tournament winners. As a Board Certified Construction Lawyer, my practice encompasses all aspects of the project and construction cycle from contract document preparation and review to litigation and dispute resolution of related claims. I have significant experience with contract document preparation, creation and negotiation. I have been involved in small through mega projects, public and private, including domestic (Texas and other states) and international projects (South America & Asia) totaling more than several billion dollars in the areas of Oil & Gas, Industrial, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Chemicals, Commercial, Education, Retail, Residential, Multi-Family Residential, Affordable Housing, Supply, Distributorships, etc. My contract drafting and negotiating experience covers all of the different perspectives on a construction project, from Owner cost-control and tracking concerns, to EPC and general contractors concerns being in the middle and trade contractors and vendors concerns about accepting an appropriate amount of risk for the project based on what they are able to control. I enjoy learning how my clients operate, what their concerns are and then proactively addressing issues that may arise at the contracting stage, or working through dispute avoidance, mitigation and dispute resolution to try to find satisfactory resolutions to complex problems.
