About Brian Geer

I am a Christian, husband, and father of 7 who is trying to find his place in this big system we call “healthcare.” I enjoy educating my patients and peers and aspire to be a leader who can help others thrive, find their passion, and achieve wellness. I look forward to connecting with you on your journey. Presently, I serve as the Wellness Coordinator in the Office of Graduate Medical Education at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. I have the privilege of working with the medical residents and faculty in GME, and also with medical school students from The UNC School of Medicine at their Wilmington Campus. Previously, I worked as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist with both Inpatient and Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation. I have 9 years of direct patient care experience with cardiac patients, where I served on multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient departments. During my career, I have earned a professional certification and several promotions. My desire is to learn more about the healthcare system so that I can better serve the GME residents, faculty, and staff, UNC SOM students, and my organization.
