About Brian Goering

My agricultural, construction oriented, and educational background has provided me with a broad range of qualifications —including direct experience with project management, interdepartmental collaboration, landscape design, machine operation and repair, and training expertise. I also bring to the table a broad range of credentials gained through rigorous programs, including my B.S. in Elementary Education from Kansas State University and twenty years of teaching and coaching experience. I grew up farming, remodeling homes, building fences and decks, doing concrete work, roofing, and working on cars and heavy machinery. I founded, and managed, West Side Lawn service in Wichita Kansas while attending high school and college. I have excellent customer service skills and find enjoyment in serving others. As my career continues to evolve, I remain steadfast in my belief that collaboration is the key to institution success. I thrive in a team environment and am also intrinsically motivated to complete independent tasks and assignments with professionalism, honesty and grit. This mindset is infectious, and I can be found motivating coworkers to do the same. I bring responsible independence and self motivation to the table on a daily basis. I do my work unto the Lord, and take great satisfaction in serving him and others while accomplishing goals. I am committed to building positive relationships with my students, families, colleagues, and superiors. It is through these bonds that we build success. I have been acknowledged by both seniors and peers as an innovative thinker with the ability to adapt and overcome challenges with ease and professionalism. I have lived in Japan for the last twelve years educating children of US Military members. It has been rewarding to be a part of the USA's Military Mission. I enjoy camping, RV trips, playing music with others, surfing, gardening, and hanging out with my family!
