About Brian Grant

I am a recent data science graduate eager to contribute data-driven value and leverage my excellent communication and problem-solving skills. I specialize in applied analytics, consulting, communication, and exploratory analysis. I also LOVE media and the impact it can have on people! That is what drove me to get my minor in communications: media can introduce new ideas and concepts, change one's outlook on life, and even save lives when deliberately applied. So, when I think about my family and community, I feel driven to make sure that they (and families the world over) have access to the best content. That is why I strive to utilize data analytics, natural language processing, and machine learning resources to find and serve underexplored markets and communities worldwide. In addition, I love to learn and improve! There are so many questions to be asked, problems to be solved, and people to serve and I can't wait to break into the industry and do so at a bigger scale than ever before. In regards to domains of expertise, I focus on business and media applications. Tools-wise, I use Python, R, SQL, MySQL, HTML, Microsoft Power BI, Power Queries, Virtual Environments, Anaconda, Command Prompt, Rest APIs, Git, Github, Jupyter Notebooks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Slack, SCRUM, Agile methodologies, Visual Studio Code (VS Code), Linux, functional programming, object-oriented programming, Convolutional Neural Networks, Recursive Neural Networks, Linear Regression, ANOVA, t-tests, Jotform, Google Forms, and a variety of packages including (but limited to) Pandas, GeoPandas, Matplotlib, Numpy, TensorFlow, MediaPipe, and OpenCV. did I mention I love to learn? I also have over 5 years of experience in telecommunications and am able to communicate complex ideas in a simple, concise, and non-confrontational manner.
