I’ve always been fascinated by the quirks of human behaviour; the little things we do that make sense to us, but only really click when you zoom out. The moment I realised you could model those quirks and not just describe them was when my numerate brain and curious side high-fived each other. These days, I’m less interested in ‘data points’ and more obsessed with decoding the patterns beneath them.(Think Neo, but for segmentation and you're close to how I describe my job to me friends!) Over the years, I’ve learned that research isn’t about answering questions, it’s about asking better ones. My sweet spot is helping internal teams get clarity: distilling complex objectives into something tight, actionable, and ready to survive the fire of real-world decision-making. Clients often tell me they feel a sense of relief when we work together; not because the challenges vanish, but because we’ve finally framed them in a way that makes sense and thus identifying the way forward has become a lot more straightforward. The research world has fundamentally shifted at a rate that no-one could predict. With the rise of AI, we’re not just getting faster, we’re able to synthesise, explore, and generate with a scope that would’ve been unimaginable five years ago. It’s a powerful shift, and one I’m deeply embedded in through our work at Opinions. Personally? I’ve surprised myself. I always thought of myself as someone who stayed behind the curtain but over the past year, I’ve leaned into visibility: posting regularly on LinkedIn, proactively reaching out to those I worked with earlier in my career, and representing a team that’s picked up a few well-deserved awards along the way. I may not always be the loudest voice in the room but I show up with clarity, consistency, and a collaborative mindset. Right now, I’m especially interested in how research leadership needs to evolve in the age of AI — not just to keep pace, but to actively shape more creative, intelligent decisions.
