About Brian Grushkin

I grew up in Humboldt County and moved to Los Angeles in to attend UCLA. Apparently I used to dance to Boy George when I was a child but the earliest memories I actually have of forming meaningful connections with music were wearing out my Nevermind cassette and discovering a CCR record of my dad's. I studied Business Economics in college and the thought of pursuing a career in music never crossed my mind, although I did spend those years downloading a gratuitous amount of songs on Napster. I spent 3 years after college working in finance and absolutely hated my life, although it was on those daily commutes that I discovered a lot of the music that ultimately shaped the way I see the world. The Stooges, T. Rex, David Bowie all played a huge part in setting me on the path to begin discovering my authentic self, a journey I'm still on to this day. I was able to leave my finance job and accepted an unpaid internship role assisting the amazing, Liza Richardson. The experience I gained helped guide me on my professional path through various roles in sync licensing and eventually led me to the position of Sr. Manager, Creative Services with Imagem. I've had an obsession with music production and have spent the past few years pursuing producing full-time. I have performed on Pigeons & Planes "Medium Size Backyard", worked with many talented artists and have had my songs featured in a Google commercial as well as various films & TV shows. I'm looking to begin a new chapter and would love to join a creative team that values collaboration, inclusivity and authenticity.
