About Brian Hartman

Passionate about leadership, excellence, the optimization of working teams, and supporting individual team members to reach their highest potential. Spent 14 years of my early career as an award-winning high school teacher working with a diverse student population ranging from highly gifted to at-risk youth, winning multiple Teacher of the Year awards. Also coached over 20 men's & women's sports teams, winning Coach of the Year honors twice, and setting state records. Following my teaching career I built a start-up agricultural business from zero into a successful company generating 800k usd per year in revenue before selling that, and moving to Bali, Indonesia full-time. I have always been passionate about music, culture, and events of all types. During this entire time I also worked as an event producer, creating immersive experiences at the highest level, and, with an amazing partner, ran our own event production business where I was the lead for all things operations & sales. During my first year in Bali I took some time off from work to settle in and see what new inspiration I might find. I spent this time DJing as a resident with Disko Afrika at some of the world's best beach clubs here on the island before getting a call from Nuanu, asking me to be the Director for Suara, a music, arts, education, and culture festival, eventually being hired full time to serve as the Nuanu Event Director. More recently I was promoted to COO of Nuanu, and I am looking forward to this challenge and the next part of my life's journey.
