About Brian Higgins

I am an Arizona native Graphic Designer who has been practicing in the greater southwestern United States for over 30 years. I recently completed my graduate studies at Vermont College of Fine Arts in Montpelier, Vermont in October of 2015 with an MFA in Graphic Design. I have written and self published two books: 55 DAYS; which illustrates 55 pieces of work produced in a six month period of 2014. My second book is essentially a guidebook for designers on Design for Social Engagement, which is a 145 page in-depth study into creative transformation - a visceral response to our current history, events that confront us and a look into human behavior and how we deal with our problems. I have served numerous markets in my design tenure from B2B to direct consumer marketing, and retail products. I have served mostly as the Lead Designer, Creative Director or Art Director — directing, managing and executing design projects for major clients and corporations all over the world. I have an extensive portfolio of images from every aspect of advertising and marketing including; Ad Campaigns, Brand Identity, Logo Design, email advertising, website design, animation, video and film design and production, posters, e-marketing campaigns, brochures, books, e-pubs, info-graphics, and more. I am currently an Adjunct Professor at Benedictine University in Mesa, Arizona and am teaching a variety of classes in Graphic Design and Critical Thought. I have four years of Secondary CTE teaching experience, and Undergraduate teaching experience as well, over 25 years of Graphic Design practice for Advertising Agencies, Corporations and Freelance Clients.
