About Brian Hobson

My career in management began in the year nearly immediately following high school. My first position of management was for an automotive repair facility as the store manager. I then moved onto working at AutoZone where I quickly was promoted to Parts Sales Manager and maintained that position until there was an opening to hire into the General Motors dealership parts technical assistance group, which is still currently the line of business I am working with. I was hired into entry level in this position as a parts analyst, and was promoted to a lead parts analyst within a one-year time frame, being chosen over other candidates who had 20+ years experience at that time. About one year later, I was chosen for the Designated Trainer position, which was a very short experience due to us moving to a new supplier, at which point I applied to be a team leader and much to my surprise, I was selected for that opportunity as well. I remained in a team leader position for a few years before advancing again to my current position as the Operations Manager for the GM parts technical assistance team as well as the ACDelco customer contact center as well. I have around 200 indirect team members and am responsible for a group of 5 team leaders. I have been in this position for over 7 years and I am thankful everyday for being able to work full time in a field and position that I truly enjoy. I am very much a people person and I try very hard everyday to make somebody's day a little bit better. Have a great day everyone!
