About Brian Hogg

I’ve been a working professional in the online sphere for over 20 years, with a strong focus on website development, as well as interactive application and game development. I’m also well versed in backend programming, mobile application development, and am a skilled visual designer. I am always looking for new opportunities, that will allow me to build and ship innovative projects that will challenge both my technical and creative limits. As the Lead Developer at the Canadian Premier League, I'm responsible for maintaining and developing the League's web presences, including via a large multi-site WP network, and a Ruby on Rails-based Fan Engagement Platform, which is used not just for the CPL, but additionally for the CHL, as well as other sports leagues and teams. In my spare time, I'm currently developing a web-based writing web-app called Hilker, which users can use to plot, organize and write long-form manuscripts and screenplays. It's in beta currently at https://hilker.app, and is being written using ReactJS, with a Firebase backend. I’m a fast programmer, with an exceptional eye for detail and an ability to quickly acclimate to new scenarios and learn new systems and languages as needed. I am enthusiastic and tenacious, and believe I would make an excellent addition to any team.
