About Brian Isaacson

Brian's career in the Broadcast Industry has spanned 35 years, starting in Syracuse, while attending SU, Brian learned the broadcast business from the inside, running the Master Control room at WNYS (now WIXT), while studying for dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Public Communications at the Newhouse School. Upon graduation, Brian landed a position in the Video Tape Maintenance Department at ABC network Operation in NYC. From there, Brian ventured to build his career as a video engineer for Post Production facilities, most notable, JSL Video. An opportunity came along to be the chief systems engineer at the Camera Mart, then the largest of the video sales dealerships, at the time, Brian and his team constructed many broadcast and industrial video facilities from studios to edit suites. The Camera Mart suffered its demise when certain manufacturers started cutting out the dealers, and Brian realizing that, formed his own systems engineering and maintenance company, Communitek Video Systems, Inc. in 1989. The Company has generated over $7M in sales, and is now in the transition stage of providing streaming video systems, including webcasting encoders and hosting services.
