When I commit to doing something, I will follow through to its completion. These are not just empty words. Integrity is a trait I value in myself as well as in others. Some may think that many in banking may lack this trait, but I live by it. For 32 years, banking has been my passion. My enthusiasm for the profession and employer (proud to work at Chase) and desire to make my mark have led me to a very successful career in the banking industry. Even after so many years, I still find my job enjoyable. From increasing business growth and profitability to formulating tactical plans and executing go-to-market strategies, my experience is extensive. I enjoy looking for the best ways to solve complex banking challenges for our clients, and I am excellent at it (not boasting, just referring to my problem-solving track record). I’m normally the go-to guy for construction projects and complex deals. It’s a thrill to find a solution where others may have given up. I have a “Get Better” Mindset, which allows me to be resilient during any setbacks and helps me become a deeper and more creative thinker. I think outside the box, and this creates endless opportunities to help our clients when presented with challenges or complex situations. Alongside of being coachable, this “Get Better” mindset has created opportunities to earn and keep the trust of my colleagues, clients, and superiors. I love mentoring others. I believe that with the proper mentoring and training, a good banker can become a great manager. I feel mentoring is a way of paying-it-forward for the coaching and mentoring that I’ve received throughout my career.
