About Brian Jenssen

Brian Jenssen, MD, MSHP: pediatrician, researcher, medical director, and entrepreneur. I'm board certified in pediatrics and clinical informatics. Research focus in public health and policy, health information technology, use of technology for dissemination of best practices, and tobacco control. I'm an Assistant Professor within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, a primary care Pediatrician at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and Medical Director, Value-Based Care for CHOP's Care Network (a primary care network for pediatric patients in Pennsylvania and New Jersey). I engineer, evaluate, and implement novel approaches and products to improve both care for children and their parents as well as the clinical process for physicians. Current grant support focuses on treating parents that smoke cigarettes through pediatric healthcare settings and policy, education, and treatment for adolescent e-cigarette use.
