About Brian Jorgensen
I am currently a Senior Research Scientist with Immunacor Advanced Immunotherapies designing immunotherapies targeting broad spectrum viral treatments and targeted oncolytic treatments. I have extensive academic experience (PhD) in molecular biology with an emphasis on epigenetics, specifically DNA methylation, in gastrointestinal research. My graduate research focused on dietary interventions that influence epigenetic activation, transcriptomics of FACS-isolated gastrointestinal cells, and creation of unique inducible and congenital, tissue-specific, knockout murine models. My postdoctoral work consisted of connecting circRNA accumulation and aging in C. elegans as well as developing gene therapeutics for the treatment of the ultra-rare disease, propionic acidemia. Additionally, I have substantial corporate experience in industrial & quality control microbiology/environmental monitoring following 21 CFR USP, NSF, and FDA guidelines. Publications:
