I used to work in the film industry. It was a fulfilling career for many years. Over the past 6 years I have worked in the recovery field helping people with mental illness and drug addiction reintegrate back into society at their pace. I currently work for the Mississippi Public Health Institute. I am lucky enough to be working under two grants. RCORP and SWSOAR. RCORP provides Naloxone and Fentanyl tests strips to 8 SW counties in the Mississippi catchment region. SWSOAR grant helps to build a sustainable recovery network within those same counties. We work with drug courts and help women, ages 14-45, respectively get back on their feet and connect them with resources to help them reintegrate.
