My human factors expertise, research, and scholarship, are focused occupational (and personal) safety, health and well-being. I specialize in systems ergonomics, or “macroergonomics”, the analysis and design of work systems guided by sociotechnical systems. My educational preparation has enabled me to investigate and evaluate sociotechnical work systems through an understanding of the human, technical, interfaces, organizational, and environmental aspects of work systems.
