About Brian Koning

Personal Bio: I connect good people to good people. I’ve always believed it’s through building relationships and leading the charge for "the cause"​, that you’ll gradually build a legacy. My motto is, “Be more than just 'yourself'​ – be your best self”, which I strive to live out in a daily quest for balance with the other key roles in my life – as husband and father – and also as a fan of good books, great times, and old friends. After spending over two decades in the education, leadership development, and investor relations space, I am honoured to be in a unique role to help people with their philanthropic goals and achieve impact for what matters most to them. To be a trusted advisor is a high calling. Helping generous individuals achieve significant impact for causes dear to their heart is work worth doing well. I’m driven by the maxim: “Invest wise to Change lives”. An appreciation of an entrepreneurial approach to raising capital grew while in an investor relations role with Westbow Capital, and on the non-profit side, while serving as Director of Advancement at ACS, raising over $12M with our team. Previously, as Client Partner with FranklinCovey, I was proud to be involved in The Leader in Me initiative based on the timeless wisdom of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®. Prior to that, time as a territory manager at Premier Agendas and then launching Brickhouse Organizationals, provided perspective that everyone can be a leader of their “personal greatness". When we find our voice and own our greatness, we create a legacy of aspiration and impact on the lives around us. Now going forward, I believe in a philanthropic development mission to “connect good people to good people”. The results will follow. Invest wise. Change lives.
