About Brian Landreth

I started a graduate research program in Materials Science at Carnegie Mellon in fall 2022 after a partial masters in analytical chemistry at IIT. My research focus is fuel cell development. Previously, I was a research scientist and analytical chemist at Gas Technology Institute in Des Plaines, IL. I was responsible for conducting technical research related to natural gas safety and environmental concerns paired with an analytical role. Working in a wide variety of research topics has helped me to develop a diverse skillset and unique problem-solving approach that allows me to tailor experimental analysis to almost any area of science. My field experience includes a diverse range of sampling techniques and locations in the natural gas industry. My recent graduate school studies have included energy systems, general analytical techniques, cGMP and polymer analysis.
