Background
About Brian Lewis
After moving from a different state a few years ago, I now work with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as a store associate in Pittsburgh. Currently, I am seeking opportunities for a second job or a more lucrative full-time position. As a second job, I'm focusing on remote opportunities, but am open to local travel in regards to full-time positions. Originally a New Yorker, I have an education from Queens College, City University of New York, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. As a student, I was an enthusiastic leader of the student community, holding executive positions on the programming board and within Alpha Chi Rho fraternity, where I learned to set budget lines, coordinate and promote events. Additionally, my elective coursework included business computing and accounting. During and after college, I excelled as a retail associate, an inventory taker, and an ad hoc legal clerk. I was promoted to Night Manager at Pathmark, New Hyde Park, shortly before their closing, adding cash operations, employee supervision, building management, and inventory intake to my skill set. I started in their maintenance department and was promoted to management after running the overnight stock crew in the absence of our overnight manager. In New York, I also took care of my mother's rental property which further increased my handyman skillset. These skills helped me to become a maintenance punch/turnover technician for multiple staffing companies when I left New York, preparing apartments for new tenants across the area. In these roles, I'd back up the porter staff, clean out apartments, change plumbing and electrical fixtures, and repair appliances. I also did a substantial amount of drywall repair and painting, which I've had experience in since high school. As a technician, I also learned to order parts and supplies from multiple vendors and coordinated the more serious repairs with our contractors.
