About Brian Looney

Operational excellence is my specialty. I excel at all aspects of operations and distribution management, including customer service, inventory management, people, process, and financial management. I am extremely focused on operational performance, and am working toward becoming certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.I have a track record of both increasing sales and decreasing expenses by using a lean distribution model. I have also been a primary contact for account customers in various regions, and offer leadership support to our current Branch Operations Director, and our West Coast Sales Director. Currently, I am a regional operations manager for a major appliance parts distributor. I am responsible for customer service, shipping, receiving, delivery, and P&L for branches in my region. I oversee one district manager, and six branch managers. As a team, we help set the standard for customer service in our industry.As a regional manager, I have moved two warehouses within the past 24 months, designing them from the ground up, and physically moving millions of dollars of product from the old locations to the new warehouses. I have also re-designed warehouses in my region to make them more efficient, giving us the ability to decrease headcount. One thing I am most proud of in my career was increasing sales in our branch by 476% over a 7-8 year period! This was done by executing consistently and reliably. Increases in order picking, inventory accuracy, and customer service levels were achieved. When I agreed to become the branch manager, I made it my goal to become the highest revenue-producing branch in the company. In 2005, the Salt Lake City branch was number eight out of nine branches in revenue, generating around per day in revenue.
