About Brian Lyzenga

My beginings in the work force were some seasonal jobs while in high school. After high school I started working for Innovative Communications Inc.(ICI) where I was an installation technician. I worked on installation, startup/commissioning, and troubleshooting of mutlimedia systems, distance learning systems, and many other audio/video systems. From there I started an electrical apprenticeship with Intec Co.(Johnson Electric/Midstate Security Co). I worked a couple years on the underground crew for Johnson Electric doing street scape lighting and big duct banks under the streets of Grand Rapids. During the winter months I would do some conduit bending and wire pulling in a couple industrial facilities. In 2005 I moved over to the Midstate Security team where I completed my electrical apprenticeship and went on to become a master electrcian. I have worked in many industrial, comercial, institutional, and residential properties installing and servicing analog and IP camera systems, large card access systems, and burglary systems. In 2016 I moved into the manufacturing industry for a change of pace and started at Altron Automation as part of the controls assembly team. I work with a great team, building machines on which I install sensors, cameras, lasers, and other devices. I also run the wire throughout the machine, build up control panels, and make the necessary terminations. Once that is done we as a team take apart the machine and go install it at the customers site.
