Earth's Premier Science Comedian (self-proclaimed). For general audiences and specialized groups. I speak and perform at museums, science festivals, conferences, events, for science and medical organizations, technology corporations, colleges and comedy clubs. I'm also available for hosting and moderating panel discussions. I have interviewed hundreds of scientists on stage, audio, and video. I give workshops and presentations to train scientists to become better speakers. Clients include the NRC of Canada, Los Alamos National Lab, the NSF, AGU, ACS, NIST, Northwestern University, NC State, University of Michigan, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Lawrence Berkeley Lab and more. I have produced science videos for Time Magazine and audio essays for Neil deGrasse Tyson's StarTalk Radio show. I have co-hosted programs on The Weather Channel. I was a blogger for Scientific American. Annually I produce videos for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in Germany, featuring interviews with Nobel Laureates and young scientists from around the world. I have consulted on educational outreach projects for clients such as NASA. I had a four-year stint working in science communications at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, in Raleigh. But I am currently a full-time freelancer. Available for off-world appearances, if transportation is provided.
