Brian Martin,DVM is a 1988 graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. He also completed a internship in small animal medicine and surgery also at Tuskegee University.After completing his internship he entered small animal practice experience that spans over 35 years of practice and dedication to small animal healthcare. This experience has included the management and operation of veterinary emergency clinics in Brandon and Lakeland Florida; as well as serving as staff veterinarian at hospitals throughout Greater Orlando. Also included is over ten years of small animal practice ownership in Oviedo,Florida serving the community and providing exceptional care. During this time incorporation of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine with Certification in Acupuncture provided the general practice alternative therapeutic options that gave additional benefits to solving pet healthcare issues. Extensive shelter medicine experience gained at SPCA Humane Society in Sanford and Orlando Florida. This included shelter disease control, risk management and enhancing excellent surgical skillset by volume spay,neuter of public and shelter animals. As Relief Veterinarian unique experience exposure to work in a multitude of different practices when the primary veterinary owner or lead clinician was absent. These consisted of ER, small,large,private,non-profit,and corporate practices throughout central,southern and east coastal Florida. Dr.Martin is currently the Senior Clinical Veterinarian at Pet Alliance in Sanford, Florida where he continues to advance his surgical skills utilizing laser. While his only son Isiah is grown and following his own professional quests, Brian and Deborah, his wife of over 32 years enjoy many pursuits together. These include traveling,Jazz concerts, movies,beaches and wine tasting.
