About Brian Massie

Brian Massie is a seasoned real estate investor and operator with more than 28 years of experience in commercial real estate investment, acquisitions, development, asset management, and construction. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for the acquisition, development, and management of more than multifamily units, multiple hotels, and a portfolio of commercial and creative-use properties across the United States.Mr. Massie began his career with a major Vancouver real estate investment firm, where he helped lead the company’s expansion into the U.S. market. He later held senior roles at several top-tier firms, including AvalonBay Communities (NYSE: AVB), Security Properties, and GHC Companies—collectively overseeing large-scale acquisitions, developments, and renovations exceeding $1B in total value.In 2007, Mr. Massie founded Reliance Capital Partners (RCP), through which he acquired and asset-managed more than apartment units and three hotels in 12 states, many of which he continues to manage today. He later launched Massie Capital Management (MCM) to pursue new acquisitions throughout Los Angeles, including major multifamily repositionings and creative commercial properties.In 2017, he established Hilldale Group as his branded investment platform and JV vehicle, leading developments such as LORE LA, a SF mixed-use project currently under construction in Inglewood, California.In addition to his real estate ventures, Mr. Massie is Managing Partner of Capture Studio Group, an experiential marketing and production agency specializing in large-scale events and brand partnerships.Mr. Massie currently serves as Co-Founder & CEO of RealSplit Technology Group, a PropTech company revolutionizing commercial real estate investing through fractional ownership and a proprietary digital investment platform powered by blockchain, automation, and AI.He holds degrees in Psychology and Business from the University of Missouri–Columbia.
