These statements are typically rehashes of a person's resume, and the thing that makes them unique. There is a desire in our professional lives to find the stand-outs, the overachiever, that person who is the magical answer to all our problems. This is where we falter because there will always be another crisis, another immediate requirement for that one person who was needed yesterday. Chasing a dream of optimization that will always be outstripped by ambition once the current dream is realized. What I was would rather talk about here is discussing what makes us the same. Here we are looking for a community, whether we admit it or not, into which we can find a sense of reassurance. That the person we are talking to is - in fact - a normal human being who might be able to help fill a need that we have and that we can also help them. We're here, on this website, on this planet, looking not only to fit in, but to find those who fit in with us, so that when the next crisis comes the people around you are the people who you would want with you in said crisis, not a magic solution, but a rational group of people who can work things out and lift each other up.
