About Brian Maye

I have recently completed my Bachelor's degree in Applied Biology and Biopharmaceutical Science from the Atlantic Technological University, receiving a 2:1 honors. During my studies in ATU I completed modules such as quality management, molecular biology, applied immunology and pharmacoligy. From these modules I have gained experience in Analytical techniques such as chromatography, as well aseptic techniques. My level 8 thesis focused on the manufacturing processes for IgG therapeutic antibodies, in particular the antibody Olaratumab. During my final in ATU I worked as a production operator in Medtronic. Here I learnt a lot about GMP and GDP, as it was my job to observe coronary balloons and record any faults with their manufacture. Having finished my degree I am now seeking employment in Galway in fields such as quality control, pharmaceutical production.
