About Brian mc Cormack

Fully qualified electrician having worked on everything from small domestic jobs to large multi million pound office fit outs to working on new underground station at paddington on the Crossrail project where I also gained some supervisory experience. An opportunity arose in October 2014 to go work for bombardier in the rolling stock game, which interested me. There I worked as a P.I. technician. I remained at bombardier until June 2016 before moving to EECTM,working for Siemens on eurostar stock where I gained some more experience in the rolling stock trade as an Electrical / Warranty Technician. I then returned to Bombardier as part of their exam team at New Cross Gate and became part of their proactive maintenance team. I returned home to Ireland where I worked for HES as part of their installation team. I re-entered the rail vehicle sector in Ireland as an electrical technician for MRSE Ltd, where i carried out numerous modifications on Irish rail locomotives. I then worked as an electrician for Global Rail for 4 and and half years in the Irish rail traincare depot in Portlaoise, carrying out electrically based modifications and also as an electrical foreman in Heuston Station assisting Irish Rail with the delivery and integration of new class cars into existing fleet. I am currently working for Grid Beyond as a Deployment Engineer where I build/ install panels and also maintain and modify existing panels for our assets including CHPs, large battery storage and other industrial sites.Configuring and commissioning of each panels components / equipment and establishing remote communications and control are also an integral part of my role
