About Brian McCarthy

As a Manager at CRH, one of the world's leading building materials companies, I oversee the Group Financial Planning & Analysis activities covering our Americas Division. My team are responsible for delivering timely and impactful financial analysis on business performance, investor relations briefing materials and external reporting documents to Board and Senior Management to support and enable strategic decision making and meet regulatory requirements. I am a finance professional with experience in senior Controller, Reporting and FP & A roles which have developed my core competencies around team leadership and development, financial control and compliance, financial reporting, board and executive reporting, statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, FP & A and business partnering. I have a passion for process improvement and technology, and have worked across large scale global transformation projects in current and prior roles. A qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with 10 years of post-qualification experience in finance and consulting roles after training with Deloitte Dublin, spanning both IFRS and US GAAP accounting frameworks. I have worked in Ireland and the US, and continually partner with senior management and key stakeholders to deliver financial strategy and performance.
