About Brian McCue

I have been working in the field of human services for over 20 years. During that time I have held roles of progressive responsibility in many aspects of the field. I started as a behavioral health technician at residential programs and became a case manager after I completed my bachelor's degree. During that time I worked as a reintegration specialist, working to get incarcerated youth acclimated back to their homes. I worked with youth prisons, probation, therapists, and families. Once I completed my first masters degree I worked as a group home supervisor for transitional age youth, helping them learn social skills to connect to their community, while moving out into the workforce. I supervised 13 staff, was responsible for on boarding and retention, marketing, program development, budgets, and relationships with community partners. I then spent several years as a case management supervisor for adults where I expanded those skills, supervising 18 before deciding to get my second advanced degree in counseling. Once completed, I acted as primary therapist, then supervisor of a drug and alcohol facility and finally director/supervisor at different facilities, where I continued to develop. I am currently in private practice where I act as a supervisor/therapist/adjunct professor. I have done speaking engagements, and trainings for other professionals. I have recently become interested in writing and publishing, and roles beyond what I have done.
