About Brian Morrell

A dedicated physicist and healthcare professional with a MSc in Biomedical Engineering and a former PhD candidate in Medical Physics having completed all CAMPEP required courses. Research experience includes developing a novel dosimeter at the Biomedical Imaging and Therapy beamline at the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and working on DWI readable MR dosimeters and MV imager based QA solutions for the linac-MR project at the Cross Cancer Institute. Worked on commissioning the QA equipment from PTW, Modus QA, Standard Imaging, and Sun Nuclear for the new Arthur J. E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. Also worked with Medical Physicists on the development of the QA program for treatment and imaging units which include: 6 Varian Truebeams, 4 Varian Edges, 1 Xstrahl Orthovoltage, 1 Siemens dual energy CT Sim, 1 Siemens PET/CT, 2 Siemens MR Sims, and 2 Elekta Unity systems.
