About Brian Myners

I have been employed in the IT industry since 1987 working within and managing infrastructure teams. In that time I have led teams that have supported a wide range of clients in industries such as banking, insurance, oil and gas, health and government. I have designed solutions, built environments, worked on large scale projects such as data center moves, technology refreshes and migrations. I have worked on Solaris, Red Hat, SuSe, HP-UX, AIX and VMware systems as well as provisioning HP and EMC storage. I have managed mission critical tiered environments hosting products such as SAP, Oracle databases, LDAP, GetAccess, WebSphere, MQ, Portal, Apache and Ultraseek. In the last 5 years I have concentrated my efforts on team management, which has also encompassed architectural governance, vendor management, project management, service delivery and relationship management. I am a well organised, confident person who can work independently or as part of a team.
