About Brian Nessen

My background includes more than 20 years in global business-to-business media, primarily in the energy industries (oil and gas, power generation, chemical processing) but also including automotive repair, fire service, electricity, real estate, forestry, and dental markets. Media with which I've been directly involved includes print (magazines, newsletters, directories), digital (websites, webinars/webcasts, digital newsletters, email marketing), live events (conferences, trade shows), and data products. With a career that began in media sales, it provided a foundation for sales management and eventually business leadership, working with large teams and overseeing multiple P & Ls for businesses in the $4 million to $20 million range. A successful background in operations as well as executive leadership and ownership helped develop tactical and strategic decision making skills; and in launching a company it sometimes requires quickly jumping from one to the other. I enjoy problem solving, which is the basis for business-to-business connections. I enjoy building and developing strong business relationships. I believe in a team approach to business; empowering and trusting team members to perform to their very best while supporting one another. I believe in driving financial performance with a focus on long-term business objectives. And I believe in enjoying what you do and having fun. I've been fortunate to have a wonderful career working with awesome people, and it continues to get better every day!
